Are sessions in person or online?

In-person sessions are offered in Santa Fe, New Mexico at my office. Otherwise, all sessions are conducted via Zoom. When booking, make sure that you’re booking the right session based on your location!

What’s the difference between a healing session and spiritual guidance work?

Great question! ‘Healing sessions,’ at least as I offer them, are designed to flow with whatever is present in your energetic field. So in the space of a 60 minute session, we may find ourselves working with the breath, working with Reiki or other energetic frequencies, or working to shift your relationship with old, sometimes ancestral, belief systems. In other words, while we may start with a specific theme or challenge, we’re guided by a Spirit of curiosity and exploration trusting that we’ll be taken to exactly the right places.

‘Guidance’ is oriented towards supporting you in deepening your connection with Spirit, gathering insights and tools to help you on your journey, and staying on the ‘golden line’ of your soul’s path. Healing is definitely a part of this, but it’s not the focus. While healing sessions can be one-offs, guidance asks for a minimum of 6 sessions over 3 months.

I’ve done breathwork before and I get really anxious. Can you tell me more about what to expect from your sessions?

Of course! Over the past few years, ‘breathwork’ has very much become a Thing and many facilitators tend towards an overly aggressive style. My approach centers your experience and your sense of safety in your body. Breathwork is just one approach or tool; many sessions revolve around a guided visualization or laying down to receive energy.

Every session begins with a brief conversation and presencing. You can voice any intentions or questions, I’ll ask some clarifying questions, and we’ll see what surfaces as a priority. From there, we’ll move into a practice. There’s always time for reflection, questions, and integration after the practice.

You’ll notice that throughout the session, we’ll check permissions. We’ll never go further or explore topics or themes that feel unsafe for you.

I’m not sure I get it. Can you give me some examples of how this work has helped people?

Sure, though I offer these with the caveat that everyone is a bit different and one person’s experience is exactly that: one person’s experience. That said:

  • Reduced physical pain and stiffness;

  • Recovered the ability to sleep through the night;

  • Left a toxic job and found a new opportunity within a week;

  • Helped facilitate navigating a challenging work situation in an unexpected way;

  • Released old stories that had been passed down through generations;

  • Sense of relief, peace, and clarity.

How many sessions will it take for me to heal?

I really wish I could answer this, but I can’t. Everyone’s nervous system, history, and energy is different and everyone walks through the door at a different place in their journey. I will say that most folks experience a sense of clarify, relief, lightness, and wellbeing that lasts anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Longer term shifts generally ask for more time and commitment, either through our work together or other ongoing explorations.

Do you offer complimentary sessions? I’d like to get a sense of your style before committing.

I don’t. But I have a ton of free material, including full guided breathwork sessions, available on Insight Timer. You can view those here to get a sense of my style and approach.

I’ve experienced some significant trauma. Are you qualified to work with me?

I’ve worked with many clients who have experienced deep trauma and have extensive training in trauma-informed approaches including a certification in Trauma Informed Heart-Math Applications and trauma informed somatic practices through the Embodiment Institute. That said, I’m not a therapist.

If you have specific questions around this, please feel free to book an Introductory Call and let’s chat.

I’ve never done any kind of ‘woo’ workshop. Is innerdance for me or will I roll my eyes for an hour?

It’s for you! One of the things I love about innerdance is that it’s purely experiential. You don’t need to believe in any particular modality or cosmology to have a powerful experience. Your only job is to show up, lie down, and allow the journey to unfold.

I’ve done sound baths. Is innerdance like that?

Not at all. Sound baths are designed, for the most part, to invite you into a state of deep relaxation. Innerdance is designed to help you move through many layers of consciousness over the course of the journey. At some moments, you’ll likely experience deep relaxation. At others, you’ll feel incredibly alert. In innerdance, you’ll also hear a wide range of rhythms, genres, and tones. . .very few singing bowls and gongs!

I’d like to participate in a StoryCircle, but am terrified of public speaking. Will I be ok?

Yes! The process we move through is designed to foster a sense of belonging that most people find allays any fears they have. In addition, no one is ever forced to share a story; listening is a powerful way to participate.
